NASHVILLE and MURFREESBORO, Tenn.; May 7, 2024ABS Kids, a leading provider of services to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), announced the opening of two new facilities — an applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy center in Murfreesboro (1203 Memorial Blvd, Ste E) and a state-of-the-art behavior technicians training center in Nashville (210 Athens Way Ste 301). Additionally, significant expansions are in progress to be completed this summer at two existing ABS Kids ABA therapy centers in Nashville, at its 300 Wallace Rd and 29th Street locations, and construction is underway for a new center in Smyrna, to continue supporting greater access to autism services for families across Tennessee.

According to a 2020 CDC report, about 1 in 36 of 4-year-old children in Tennessee were diagnosed with ASD, with later age ranges increasing as well. Although an increasing number of children with ASD in Tennessee are initially evaluated prior to 3 years of age, many children are still diagnosed at later ages.

“These additional locations and growth are needed for continued autism support for families across Tennessee, especially as the rate of ASD diagnoses increase,” said ABS Kids Executive Vice President Mellanie Page, M.Ed., BCBA. “ABA therapy and group experiences offer unique and critical development opportunities for children with ASD in this area. And even though the school year is coming to an end, a new one will be beginning soon and personalized support can help children and families prepare for what’s ahead.”
